beauty full

Sunday, April 15th, 2012  |  people portraits

I have been amazingly lucky lately. The beauty that has been in front of my camera seems to just go on and on. Yesterday was no exception. Abby was perfectly gorgeous…from her serious, deep looks to her fabulous smile. Not to mention her sweet, floppy puppy, and her very handsome (don’t tell him I said that) :-) brother! Thank you for a great afternoon!

Just one peek.

And….one with dear, sweet Callie. Just because, you know, it’s what I do!! :-)

And, one more. Josh. Because he was so perfect, and I don’t want him to be mad at me for not posting any Josh pics!! :-)

we can dance if we want to, we can leave our cares behind

An amazing afternoon

Thursday, April 5th, 2012  |  people portraits

Yesterday was a gorgeous afternoon…perfect for portaits. With a gentle (sometimes not so gentle) :-) breeze blowing and a lovely warm sunset, we headed out for Danielle’s senior portraits. I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of the amazing images, but had to share this one. These metal steps were the absolute first stop on our journey of great locations.

Wow! Thank you Danielle, for being so relaxed, beautiful and just perfect in front of my camera!

Kristina and Ken…

Tuesday, March 13th, 2012  |  engagements, people portraits

are engaged!

I have known Kristina since she was about 11 years old when I photographed her mother’s wedding. I remember her seeming so grown up and poised at such a young age. Over the years I have photographed her several more times, and every time is a completely wonderful experience. Kristina is relaxed, poised and beautiful in front of the camera – just as she was all those years ago.

Enter Ken. Their love is quite evident. In every look, and every smile, it is plain to see that they belong together. What fun we had walking through Skippack where they had dinner the night Ken proposed. Then, off we went, to my favorite park to finish up our session.

Everything was perfect, the weather, the subjects…everything. Kristina and Ken, I wish you so much love and happiness in your life together. Thank you for allowing me to create your engagement images! It was an honor.

Kristin from the amazing It’s a Peace of Cake in Skippack made us some beautiful, and extremely delicious engagement themed cupcakes, and we had a lot fun including them in some of the photos! Thank you Kristin!

Ian

Seniors are so much fun to photograph. Especially when they are as laid back as Ian. His mother, my good friend, took us to a very cool location. She always knows just the right place for photos. Between the gorgeous light, fabulous location and very cool subject, all in all it was a great afternoon!

This next one features silly Bracken. She is Scottish Deerhound. I think Bracken has more expressions than any dog I have met. They are all pretty adorable/hysterical. She is quite a character…spunky too. She sat there with one silly look after another. Here is one of my favorite shots of the day. Just a guy and his dog.

Kristina and Ken = LOVE

Sometimes I come across an image that just grabs me. This one did, so I had to post immediately.

Kristina and Ken, thanks for such a great time! You guys are fabulous!

More to come….

Ruins

Dorian and Ron in the ruins. Amazing location, amazing light…perfect subjects.

Beautiful

Thursday, April 28th, 2011  |  canine, people portraits

It was a beautiful evening when I met up with David, Leoncia, Sasha and Riley for our session. It was a new location for me, and that is always exciting. The evening was perfect; amazing light, adorable dogs, and the cutest couple ever! Who could ask for anything more!

Sisters

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011  |  people portraits

Four sisters, each one unique and beautiful. It was a chilly afternoon as we wandered around one of my new favorite locations! We braved the cold and the swampy mud, and it was well worth it. I can’t say enough about how nice, sweet, and lovely these four are!

Halloween

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010  |  people portraits, personal

Usually we are rushing around, last minute, frantically trying to get a Halloween costume together. I wasn’t much for Halloween when I was younger. Honestly, people in costumes freak me out. So do scary movies. Except Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m a huge Buffy fan.

Anyway.

This year, the costume of choice was a corpse bride. So, we looked online at the costumes offered in the stores and found them to be a bit uninspired. We had ideas, but didn’t know how to bring them to life. Fortunately, we knew someone who could! My wonderful friend, Nancy’s wonderful sister Debbie is amazingly talented with a sewing machine (and knitting needles), and she was kind enough to create the most spectacular dress. It was a bit corpse bride – straight, elegant, fitted – and a bit of fluff – tulle and sparkle. In a word, it was perfection!

A few accessories, and a little makeup and we were ready to go…early!

So, off to the graveyard we went.

Ooh, this could be my favorite. I’m channeling my inner Stevie Nicks here. “Intense, silence as she walked in the room. Her black robe trailing Sister of the Moon.” Oh how I love that song!!!
