Please say hello to Polo. Let me see….he’s gorgeous, he’s a sweetheart, and he’s got a really cool name. The one thing that Polo does not have…is a home.

I met Polo and a few other cats and kittens yesterday when I went to do some photos for the wonderful rescue group, Stray Cat Blues. My amazing friend and long time client, Kat, had asked me to photograph a different cat (he’ll surely make an appearance later), and while I was there I met Polo.

Polo’s looks are unrivaled. He is very sweet and a total gentleman. He wasn’t sure what I was trying to do though. But, even still, he was very cordial. Polo needs a home. He needs a loving, caring home. Polo is FIV positive, which, honestly doesn’t mean much. He can still be a great companion, and he doesn’t need any special meds. I have met many wise old amazing cats who were FIV positive. The only thing any cat needs, FIV or not, is love.

Here’s my pitch. If you like this guy, and think you can give him a forever home, please contact Kat or anyone at Stray Cat Blues. You’ll be glad you did!

Happy Friday Face!!!

I don’t know, can you use the word demure to describe a wrinkly Shar-Pei? Absolutely, you can! Especially if that Shar-Pei happens to be sweet Keesha. Keesha is definitely wrinkly – that goes without saying, but where Keesha really shines is in her calm, demure personality. She will greet you with lots of wags from her tail, but she remains quiet and unassuming. It almost seems as if she doesn’t want to be annoying.

She loves attention, but doesn’t hog it. She loves to be petted, but won’t demand it. According to the breed standard, Shar-Peis are aloof and standoffish. That’s very true, but I think with Keesha, it should read, respectfully aloof and standoffish. :-)

Keesha and Amy have been together for 9 years. Keesha is now 11 and Amy says that Keesha has always been this sweet calm girl. It was easy to see the mutual respect they have for one another, and the love that they share.

You may remember last year right around this time, my Friday Face consisted of some farm animals. A donkey and a goat to be exact. Well, last week was our East Hill Farm week…the week we long for all year. The cherished week spent at the greatest vacation spot on earth…or at least we think so.

Thankfully, this year, the donkeys didn’t disappoint. We had to walk a bit to find them, but, once we did, they put on a lovely show. They really are silly animals. Their ears are huge, and they seem to like to make faces for your camera. Mostly, I think it’s because they are waiting for some treats. But, whatever the reason, it’s great entertainment.

So, here is this weeks face…one of the silly donkeys at East Hill Farm!

Happy Friday Face!

Gorgeous Stella. She was a dream to photograph…slept the entire time. Deanna (Stella’s mom) is spoiling me with all of these beautiful subjects. Dogs, cats, and now baby number two. Thank you, Deanna, for allowing me into your life to create images of your beautiful family!

Junior and his girl

I met Junior yesterday. He’s a funny guy. He’s as rambunctious as he is gorgeous. He and Alisha have been together since Junior was only two. They are definitely a couple in love! The relationship between a girl and her horse is just as unique as you find with a girl and her dog. Only, the “dog” is a bit bigger!!

Alisha is a recent grad from my Alma mater, Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography. She’s an amazing photographer herself, so posing comes pretty easy for her!

Completely gorgeous….

We worked hard to get this next shot. Only a few minutes before, Junior pulled Alisha right off the fence! I just stood there, helpless, on my ladder, as I watched Alisha go over backwards. Luckily she had someone big and strong to hang on to. Don’t worry, he let her down easy!! Alisha climbed right back up, and, voila, we got the shot!!
