Everyone loves a kitten. This kitten was so very tiny and sweet. He belonged to my good friend Lori. She breeds – what else – oriental shorhairs. I visited her shortly after this litter was born and Lori brought the kittens into the living room for our little photo session. They had never been on the couch before!

Isn’t he the sweetest little thing? Don’t you just love his ears? Oh, to have a little oriental baby again!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the expo this weekend and visited me in my booth! What a fabulous crowd! I met so many wonderful people and really had a blast chatting with everyone! A very huge thank you to all who put in their donation and entered the contest to win a FREE Cool Pets portrait session and print credit! With all of your help, I will donating over $100 to the winner’s choice of pet saving organizations. It is such a great feeling to know that the money we raised will be given to a very deserving organization. As soon as the winner selects the recipient, I’ll let you know where your money is going!

I spent the weekend in my expo booth. It was wonderful, and exhausting at the same time! Three days for a total of 25 hours! As a result, my Friday Face posting was delayed. Each day, while in my booth at the expo, I would plan to post my Friday Face that evening..as soon as I got in. But, each evening as I drove home exhausted, I realized that it just wasn’t going to happen!

So, here it is (or here they are) in honor of a long weekend at the pet expo…Sylvia and her beautiful French Bulldog, Tina. I met Sylvia at one of my very first pet expos!

this weekend?  I’ll be at the Pet Expo in Reading!  I’ll be there ALL weekend…Friday to Sunday.  So, if you’re looking for something to do, come out and have some fun.  It is a great event, chock full of vendors for shopping, cool exhibits for looking, and food for eating.  Kids are free on Friday night, and there are even some times on Saturday and Sunday when you can bring your pooch!  It’s so cool to see everyone waiting in line to get in with their dogs right by their sides!
 
If you’re coming out, be sure to stop by and chat. It’s a very long weekend, and I love to meet everyone. You can’t miss me, I’m pretty much the first thing you see when you walk in the door!

This year, as in the past, I will be holding a raffle for a Cool Pets portrait session, but I’m changing it up a bit. You’ll have to contribute a couple bucks to enter. The winner not only gets the completely FREE session, but a nice credit to use on photographs as well. Proceeds of the raffle will be donated to the organization of the winner’s choice. There will be 5 organizations to choose from, and you’ll get to pick who gets the donation!

This weekend was quiet. I had some down time and spent Sunday afternoon baking cupcakes with my daughter, Camryn and her friend, Kayla. Wonderful, delicious cupcakes. You can find them here…Red Velvet Cupcakes on one of my favorite cooking blogs! The cupcakes really were heaven. We made them just like the recipe says, minus the bags and bows. The cream cheese frosting was so light and dreamy. I had to guard the bowl! When we were finished, the girls piled some on a plate and took them outside to give away to kids playing, and to Kayla’s family. It was so much fun, I didn’t even mind cleaning up the mess!

I did take photos of the process, but that’s not what’s below. Last fall I needed to do some quick photos of Camryn for something we were doing. I never posted them! Here are two of my favorites!

I talk a lot about Dolce. It’s kind of hard not to. He’s just a different kind of cat. He purrs nonstop, answers when you talk to him, doesn’t really sleep all that much, leaps into your arms, loves yogurt and chocolate chip Eggos with syrup. And, whenever he can, he poses…even if he’s upside down.

I am working on a post that will tell his whole story. It’s a good one. But I have to dig out some of his baby pics for that, so for now, this will have to do.

Chester visited my first ever Cool Booth at the Urban Hound. He is a little curly haired cutie with a boat load of personality! His expressions are very scholarly. He’s like a little professor. That’s it, Professor Chester!

Actually, I’m not sure that he ever looked directly at me and my camera, but, heck, did he really need to?

Great Pyrenees are incredibly beautiful dogs. They are big, fuzzy, bears. Shae, was a big, fuzzy, bear-ham! He loved to pose, and pose. I can’t help but smile when I think about how adorable he was in front of my camera!

I photographed these two little cuties with their parents a bit ago for their Christmas cards. You might remember seeing them here a few posts back. I’ve been going through and editing the images that their mom hasn’t seen yet and came upon these. I couldn’t resist posting them.

I am floored by her amazing innocence and simply beautiful eyes. This has to be one of my absolute favorites from the whole session!

Crystal called me a few weeks ago because she had just gotten her new puppy, Kingston, and wanted to capture him while he was still a puppy!!

Kingston is absolutely adorable. He is in the cutest floppy stage of puppyhood! I just love that stage! He is a heart stealer for sure. He and Crystal are the perfect pair, and it is very clear that their strong bond is forming quickly. I know he will always stay right by her side.

Although I’ve shown a couple of their images already, I wanted to show just a few more of our fabulous session!
