Oh boy did I have a blast on Saturday at the Urban Hound’s Dog-O-Ween open house.  As promised, the Cool Pets Cool Booth was there.  All kinds of cool dogs showed up – and kids – and people!  Some were in costume, some were not! 

It was so wonderful, I just had to do something extra cool for you.

Here goes….buckle up!

This week’s Friday face belongs to Tico, the Cane Corso. To me, Cane Corsos look like comic book dogs. Their features are so large, their bodies are so large, their faces are so large! They are comic books come to life.

Look at Tico! Doesn’t he look like he should be wearing a badge that says “Sheriff?”

A few posts ago, I mentioned an upcoming fall event!

This Saturday is the date for that wonderful event. The Urban Hound is holding it’s first Dog-O-Ween open house from 10-4 and all are invited!

I will be there too! Here’s the exiciting part. I’ll be bringing along my Cool Pets Cool Booth. So, you bring along your Cool Pets and step inside for some very fun photographs. Ok, so it’s not really a “booth” per say, but it will certainly be cool!

You will pay only for the price of your photograph – no sitting fees! And, I am donating a portion of the proceeds to the Dad’s My Angel Puppy Rescue.

Photograph sessions are on a first come, first served basis, but reservations are encouraged. Please email me or contact Sophia at the Urban Hound to reserve your session time!

It’s guaranteed to be crazy good fun for all. Costumes, cool collars and leashes, even cool owners are welcome in the Cool Booth. Anything goes!

It’s Graci! And, also featuring Kayli in the back on the left, and Ali the cutie pug on the right! What a trio! Little dogs are so fun and energizing! They were all happy, enthusiastic and very spunky! I can’t remember what I was doing, or what I was holding, but they sure were interested!

I met Anthra and Mocha on Saturday. What fun they were! Let me just say, to put Louise’s worried heart to rest…they were wonderful, happy, friendly, enthusiastic, and good dogs! Aren’t all labs?

Anthra and Mocha are lucky pups for sure. Louise and Mike love them very much, and they have tons of room to do what labs do best…run, fetch, and play!

Speaking of fetching. I think Mocha has a mission in life. And, it involves a rubber frisbee. Throw it for her, and you can be sure she will bring it right back..and then look at you…pretty much like this…

And, Anthra?? Such a sweetie. I think she had a lot on her mind. So, I let her tell me everything!

She barked in the backyard.

And she barked in the front yard.

And she even barked in the truck.

Has she read one of my favorite children’s books,….”Why Benny Barks??”

Just a side note…my sitting with J.P. was so interesting. You see, he can’t hear. So, getting his attention was a challenge. But, what he lacks in hearing, he certainly makes up for in shear spunk!

Yesterday I met the absolutely sweetest chocolate lab girl named Mackenzie. She’s 10 years old, and all lab. For anyone who owns or knows labs, they have very distinct personalities. I have two, Briggs (chocolate) and Savannah (yellow). It is easy to see why they are so popular as family dogs in America. They are always happy, very curious, and just amazing companions.

Mackenzie was all of the above. Not to mention that she was beautiful! Her chocolate fur really was the color of chocolate. And her eyes?? Simply beautiful!

Labs are food driven…they will do pretty much anything for a treat. And, again, Mackenzie didn’t disappoint there either. She loved my treats, her treats, the thought of a treat, the mention of a treat…well, you get the point.

I give you…Mackenzie!

And, ok, it’s time to confess. I’m a driver. Whole hearted, undeniably..a driver. When I pulled in the the driveway I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by, not one, but TWO VW’s. It was like heaven…really. So, I found out that Mackenzie’s owner, Heidi, is a driver too! What bonding there was. It really is a VW thing.

So, this last image, Heidi’s GORGEOUS Jetta in the front, my absolutely COOL passat in the back. Nothing to say but…
